OMIM number: 181450

Comments closing date: 03/09/2024

Ulnar mammary syndrome (UMS) is an autosomal
dominant disorder causing abnormal development
of limbs, genitals, delayed puberty and genital
abnormalities. A wide variety of debilitating
developmental abnormalities are often seen, such
as abnormalities of the fingers, absence or
underdevelopment of bones in the arm. Genital
and reproductive abnormalities are common,
including underdeveloped nipples, penis and
uterus and affected males are frequently born with
cryptorchidism (testicles that failed to descend
from the abdomen into the scrotum).
Gastrointestinal issues such as abnormally tight,
absent or misplaced anal passage can occur.
