Memorandum of Understanding between the Care Quality Commission and the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority
Care Quality Commission and HFEA update joint working principles
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the CQC and HFEA has been revised as part of the regular review process.
It sets out the framework to support the working relationship between the CQC and the HFEA to safeguard the wellbeing of the public receiving health and social care services in England. It only relates to the regulation of healthcare.
The revised MoU was formalised in May 2019 and carries forward the principles that ensure both organisations continue to work well together. The MoU outlines areas of collaboration to minimise any overlap and address gaps within our regulatory frameworks.
